Students browse the employer database, pick a placement (or propose a new one), and trigger the application themselves. Teachers get notified the moment it starts, and any extra compliance forms (placement records, permission forms, consent forms, whatever the placement needs) kick off automatically, with exceptions taken into consideration so nothing slips through the cracks.

From the Teacher Secure Area, Career Advisors and Work Experience Coordinators can track every student's progress, filter by phase or status, manage the employer database, and resend documents with a click. Students, meanwhile, own their journey; tracking signatures, logging attendance, and watching their placement move from application to completion in real time.
The experience doesn't end on the last day.
WEX supports Post Work Experience activities too — thank-you letters, reflections, and certificates — helping students close the loop and capture what they learned.
